David S. Churchill is a Professor of History, and Associate Head of the Department of History at the University of Manitoba where he teaches the History of the United States. A graduate of the University of Chicago, he is the past Director of the University of Manitoba Institute of the Humanities and was a Rockefeller Humanities Fellow at Columbia University in New York.  He is currently working on a monograph entitled Homophile Internationalism that explores queer culture and politics in North America and Europe during the first decades of the Cold War. With Tina Chen he is the editor of two volumes, The Material of World History (2015) and Sites of Production: Film, History and Cultural Citizenship (2007) both from Routledge.
